Bringing Colour to Trystpark
"It been a great experience for everyone involved and will really bring so much to our ward. I can't thank Reachout members enough for working on this project." - Trystpark Nurse Feedback
In February 2022, Reachout member Rhiannon led an exciting painting commission in partnership with Trystpark Mental Health Ward—an 18-bed rehabilitation unit for men with complex mental health needs.
Following renovations, Trystpark commissioned five large-scale paintings to brighten the ward. With guidance from a creative brief requesting uplifting, figure-free landscapes, Rhiannon supported fellow members through the process from initial sketches to final acrylic works.
After a group discussion, the team chose to create five individual pieces, allowing each artist to express their unique style. Members first drafted ideas on paper, then scaled up their designs onto canvas.
A huge well done to Rhiannon, Susan, Debbie, Donna and Steven for their creativity, teamwork, and dedication—and special thanks to Hazel, Fiona, and Rhiannon from Trystpark for making this inspiring collaboration possible.
