Parental Employability 2026

‘I got so much enjoyment out of these sessions and would have loved to have had more. Leanne was a wonderful teacher and such a nice person, wonderful personality, definitely good for promoting wellbeing through art as you can really see her passion for art and people.'

This programme supported parents to overcome barriers and move closer to employment through early employability skills, personal development, and creative learning.

Participants developed confidence, focus, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to try new things. High engagement and positive feedback demonstrated a clear reduction in emotional barriers such as low confidence and fear of failure.

The sessions fostered a supportive and inclusive group environment, strengthening communication, teamwork, and peer encouragement. Creative activities also provided a valuable outlet for self-care, promoting mental wellbeing in a relaxed and welcoming space.

Participants reported increased self-esteem and a strong sense of achievement, with many describing the sessions as enjoyable, calming, and inspiring. The use of creative practices, such as working with clay, further supported wellbeing while encouraging cultural exchange and shared experiences.

Overall, the programme successfully combined personal development, wellbeing, and employability skills to create a positive and empowering experience for all involved.
