“This is actually really therapeutic.” – participant feedback

Delivered clay sessions for Action for Children Family Hubs in Alva, Tullibody, and Clackmannan, generating positive engagement from both children and parents. Feedback included: “I’m so glad he finally joined in,” “Wow, look at this car, it’s terrific,” “I’m so proud of this,” and “This is actually really therapeutic.”

Participants demonstrated growing confidence, creativity, and resilience throughout the sessions. One young participant overcame initial hesitation to independently develop and personalise a clay unicorn, showing increased ownership of her work.

In Clackmannan, one participant progressed from experimenting with different ideas to carefully constructing a detailed clay house, demonstrating increased creative confidence and pride in his work. Parents also benefited from the sessions, with one mother becoming fully absorbed in creating her own miniature clay house once her children were independently engaged, describing the experience as therapeutic and rewarding.
