“Can I take this home to show my mum?” – Young participant

Our vibrant Clay Mosaic project offered young people the chance to get creative by designing their own unique clay tiles using air-drying clay, shape cutters, and a variety of recycled and Hama beads.

Throughout the session, there were plenty of lovely moments as children worked together to roll out the clay with rolling pins, creating flat tiles to decorate. Participants often made multiple tiles, with some even creating special ones as gifts for friends or family.

They shared colours, tools, and ideas—supporting one another and building friendships along the way. One memorable moment came when a child asked, “Would you like to be best friends?” The workshop was full of joyful creativity, teamwork, and connection.
