Young Adult Carers 2025/26

“I can’t believe the difference in them.” - staff feedback

8 Young Adult Carers access Reachout's fully equipped multidisciplinary arts studio, engaging across 8 monthly evening sessions between Aug 2025 – March 2026.

• Participants engaged well with each other, creating a relaxed and social atmosphere across sessions.

• Increased confidence observed in new and quieter participants over time.

• One new participant became noticeably more comfortable, chatting more as sessions progressed.

• A previously reluctant participant engaged through animation activities using Lego figures and shared work on their YouTube channel.

• Significant confidence growth in one participant: required less encouragement, showed increased eye contact, and became more talkative and animated.

• Creative interest developed outside sessions, with one participant setting up a “professional animation” space at home and producing short films for their YouTube channel.

• Positive feedback from support staff noting a clear and significant change in participant confidence and engagement.

• Participants experimented with new creative mediums and collaborated in a playful, supportive environment.

• Sessions encouraged laughter, peer interaction, and enjoyment while creating work they were proud of.

• Donna, Young Carer & Young Adult Carer Support Worker commented “I’m so impressed with the stuff made. More importantly they all had fun, and noticed a change in them over the sessions.”
