Atmospheric Landscapes by Ashleigh

Reachout member Ashleigh has created these beautiful landscapes packed with energy and atmosphere using Inktense blocks and pencils.

Ashleigh particularly enjoyed painting The Old Man of Storr (pictured above), a large rock that stands high on the North of Skye, somewhere she has visited with her family. By using cool toned colours and expressive marks, she has perfectly capture the harsh beauty of Scottish weather.

Using black paper and a mixture of hot and cold colours Ashleigh created this equally effective landscape from her imagination!

Supported by Reachout volunteer Liz, Ashleigh described this workshop as a "fantastic experience"; experimenting with multiple techniques including dry work techniques, spraying materials with water, painting and metallic markers. Thank you Ashleigh for sharing your work, and thank you Liz for your support!
