Painting with pride: Laurie's landscape

Recently Reachout member Laurie completed her first painting in a long time and experienced a great sense of pride and accomplishment as she witnessed the progression in her painting skills.

The first photograph above shows Laurie's landscape in its initial stages; made up of multiple tones of blue washes and layered acrylic paint. The second image above shows Laurie's complete painting, bursting with depth, texture, atmosphere, colours and marks!

It's easy to underestimate our growth in the midst of our daily routines, but moments like these serve as a reminder of how far we've come. Revisiting an old passion and witnessing the progression in your skills is not only gratifying but also motivating. It's a testament to the power of dedication and the joy of creative growth!

Thank you to Laurie for allowing us to share this special moment (and beeeeeeeaaaaautiful painting!)
